First Graders in the Crosshairs at Columbus School

The “LGBTQ” agenda is alive and well, sadly, right in Central Ohio, but the good news is that parents spoke out and made a difference.

Here’s what happened. On Monday, April 1 at 4:00 pm, a notice went out to families of first-graders at Windermere Elementary School in the Columbus suburb of Upper Arlington that on the following day, April 2 at 1:00 pm, a book would be read to a first grade class because one of the students in that class is supposedly “transitioning” from a boy identity to dressing as a girl, with a new name and pronouns.

A school counselor was scheduled to come into the class to read the book called, Who Are You? A Kid’s Guide to Gender Identity by Brook Pessin-Whedbee. It’s being pushed by the radical group called “Gender Spectrum.” The book tells little children that when they were born, their parents just “guessed” at their gender, and that’s how they ended up being called boys or girls.

The first notice allowed no opt-out for the families, and the short notice gave no time for any preparation for those families who might not want their kids exposed to this disturbing and inaccurate material. The good news is that there were reportedly many calls to the district offices and the school from concerned parents.

And the even better news is that because of all the uproar, the school first announced the following day that the reading would be delayed for a few days with an opt-out provision, and  by the end of the week, the reading was cancelled and the only thing that happened was that the children in the class were told that their classmate would now like to be called “she”  or “her.” Still, none of these children should be deceived like this under any circumstances.

And one wonders if the reading of this book will still occur, but at least the school knows they have many alert families on their hands, and that is what it takes to make this harmful agenda go away.

This is extremely destabilizing for both the child at the center of this controversy, as well as all the other children who suddenly learn there are children who can supposedly become the opposite sex, which is wildly inaccurate and can create very traumatic emotional disturbance in some children.

A recent article in The Christian Post revealed the extremes to which the promoters of this mutilation are going, where testosterone is now being given in some cases to girls at age 8. No research supports the use of drugs in this way.

And girls as young as 13 or 14 are receiving double mastectomies. Boys end up with what is called “chemical castration” by their mid-teens. Yet why, since vast majority of gender confused children are no longer confused by adulthood but grow to accept their biological sex?

Please pray for the Upper Arlington schools and for all our children being exposed to these harmful lies. The only good news is that many people are waking up and speaking out.
